A tincture is a liquid extract made from plants, herbs, roots, mushrooms or other botanical ingredients. During the extraction process, different compounds from the raw material are dissolved into a liquid.
Which compounds are extracted depends, among other things, on the ingredient and the extraction method used. The result is a concentrated extract that is easy to dose and use.
Tinctures can be taken on their own or added to, for example, water or cacao. Always follow the recommended dosage for the specific product.
Not every plant extract is the same?
The concentration can vary depending on the raw material used and the extraction method.
An extract may, for example, have a ratio of 10:1, 30:1 or 50:1.
The extraction ratio indicates how much starting material was used in relation to the amount of extract obtained.
